These past seven days have felt like so much longer in the best and the worst ways. I have found out so much about God and the Holy Spirit in the past week. I have seen things that I honestly didn’t know or believe that God could do. I have seen him make a group of strangers such good friends in such a short time, I have seen him open and heal hearts that have been hurting, and I have seen him heal. Everyone on my team bought these key necklaces with a prophetic word that is specifically prayed over and chosen for you. The point of the key is to pray over the word and see what God wants to reveal to you with it. Mine said adopted. What I have discovered is that he not only calls us to be his children, but he chooses us to show his power through. I know that sounds like an obvious truth, but what I have learned is that we have a direct communication with God, and he wants to use us to show his power through. I have learned that we should not limit the power of God yet we can not value our will over his.

One of my favorite things that I have learned about is in Genesis 15. God is telling Abraham that he has a plan for him, and Abraham tells God that he does not trust him because God haven’t filled his own hopes in his timing. God tells Abraham that he will make a covenant with him which was an unbreakable promise in that time. The people involved would walk through slaughtered animals so to say, “May this be done to me if I do not keep my promise” (Jeremiah 34: 18-19). God appeared to Abraham and Abraham fell into a deep sleep. Still, God walked through the animals, meaning the covenant was sealed by God alone. Nothing depended on Abraham. “When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself” (Hebrews 6:13-18). This story shows us that God has already showed himself to be all trustworthy and that he is worth every moment of all of our days. He has shown that we do not have to worry because all of our accomplishments our carried our by him. He did not have to prove himself to any of us, but he chose to  prove that he has a perfect plan for our lives and that we can trust him with everything.
